You knew I loved that song "Panama Red" you nailed it sweetheart !!you sang that song better than the original artist - You knew me well - Every time you guys played If I was at the venue you always sang it just for me! From Susan and Reid Gardner;
We are shocked and so doggone sad at the sudden loss of Curt Poole. He was such a sweet guy and a good friend. His love of music, and his true skill with guitar, lead to many terrific years of us going to hear him play with Bob Reid & the Sweetwater Band, before that the Reid Bros. Band, and even before that with Rambunctious at the Mable House concert series. When I got into creating a series of musician portraits, Curt and Bob were so patient with all my questions about the instruments... when we'd go to see them play, they would share a new riff they'd learned or bring a new guitar to let us hear. We sure are gonna miss getting to hear Curt play, and we will never look at a bottle of NyQuil the same again.
Words can't express the sorry.... Sharing one of my fav photos of Curt... he just loved to play music... and he did it well. I'm honored to have been able to play music with the man. A kind soul, a warped sense of humor and a heck of a musician.
