Curtis Manning's Obituary
Mr. Curtis Franklin Manning, Jr., age 76 of Whitesburg, passed away July 14, 2009. He was born September 19, 1932 in Atlanta, the son of the late Curtis Manning, Sr. and Pearl Manning. He spent most of his life as a farmer in Austell. He also served in the US Army in Japan during the Korean War, was a firefighter for Powder Springs Fire Department, and was superintendent of Dogwood Golf and Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Manning; daughter & son-in-law, Annette & Steve Traylor of Whitesburg; daughter, Lois Manning of Winston; son, Robert Manning of Lowell; and grandchildren, Natalie Clewell, her husband Tim, Nicholas Traylor, Jeremy & Kristen Tebbe, and Kyle, Devin, & Lauren Manning. The family will receive friends at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory in Austell on Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM. Mr. Manning will be cremated.
