Corey Dwayne Thompson's Obituary
Corey Dwayne Thompson, age 45, of Austell, went to his heavenly home on January 20, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
Corey was born to Galeon Thompson and Patricia Koger Thompson in Florence, AL.
Corey's love for God was the foundation of his life, guiding him through every decision and action. His devotion to his wife and son were unwavering, as he cherished every moment spent with them. Outside of his family, riding motorcycles was Corey's passion. He found immense joy in the sense of freedom and adventure that riding offered, and he especially cherished his rides with his brother and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Galeon Thompson, and his grandparents, Mable and Perry Thompson, Nellie Armstead and Frank Koger Sr.
Corey is survived by his loving wife of 4 years, Tiffany Ann Thompson; his son, Carter Cy Thompson; his mother, Patricia Koger Thompson; his brothers, DeShawn Thompson and DeShane Thompson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will deeply miss him.
A memorial service honoring Corey's life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Austell Christian Church. Visitation with family will be from 1-2pm with the service following at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Corey's memory be made to KCCure (Kidney Cancer Research Alliance) at kccure.org, in acknowledgment of his courageous battle and to support the ongoing fight against kidney cancer.
