Clifton "Buddy" Medlock's Obituary
Clifton “Buddy” Medlock, age 84 of Austell passed away June 18, 2024.
Buddy retired from AT&T, formerly known as Southern Bell, where he began his career as a lineman. He retired as manager from the company in 1991.
Buddy was a long-time member of Concord Baptist Church. He was also a member of Austell Masonic Lodge and the South Cobb Bass Club.
He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Thelma Medlock.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lyda Medlock; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Mike Sams of Apalachicola, Florida; sister, Beth Hoover of Mableton.
He is also survived by his beloved nieces, nephews, and grand dogs.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating.
The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service on Friday from 1:00PM-2:00PM.
