Clayton Shaw Glore's Obituary
Clayton Shaw Glore, age 47, left us too soon February 23, 2024. Clayton was born in Austell to James and Joan Glore. He spent his childhood in the Austell and Mableton area, and graduated from South Cobb High School. He went on to attend college at Kennesaw State University, and then Mercer University.
Clay was a true Renaissance man. He had an artist’s soul and loved to draw, tattoo, and weld. He was a musician and could play many instruments including guitar, piano, and horns. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to spend time hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Clay was a genuine, kind-hearted man and a wonderful son, father, brother, “uncle” to many, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Clay is survived by his son, who was his pride and joy, Garren Glore of Smyrna; parents, James and Joan Glore; brother, Peyton Glore and his wife, Amy of Macon; aunt, Vickie Walker of Rockmart; and many beloved extended family and friends.
A funeral service honoring Clay’s life will be held Saturday, March 2nd, 1:00 PM with Jeb Foster officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Clay’s honor be made to the Cobb County Humane Society at https://humanecobb.com/ways-to-give/donate/
