Clarence Edward Hooks, age 88, of Austell, GA passed away on December 13, 2025. He was born in 1937 in Huntsville, AL.
A devoted husband, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Marcelle Hooks. Together they built a warm and loving home filled with laughter, music, and unwavering support for one another.
He professed his faith in Jesus Christ, quietly demonstrating it in humility, kindness and generosity toward others.
Known for his deep love of country music, he was an accomplished steel guitar player whose talent brought joy to friends, family, and all who heard him play. Music was not just a hobby—it was a gift he shared generously.
He is survived by his children, Danny Hooks (Candace), Danette Warmouth (Wes), and Valerie Pierce (Angel Marlow), his sister Carolyn Summerlin and his grandchildren Courteney Hooks, Adam Warmouth and Makenzie Hooks who will forever cherish his guidance, humor, and the love he poured into their lives.
A memorial service honoring Clarence's life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service.
