Clara Wooddall's Obituary
Clara Pearl Hogue Seabolt Wooddall, 92, resident of Austell, Georgia went to be with the Lord on 1/29/2013. She showed strength and fortitude throughout several major illnesses but she is now at peace; she is with God.
Clara was born on June 4, 1920 in Pelham, Georgia to the late Lester Carey Hogue and Inez Amelia Hayes.
She had physical beauty but her heart was even more beautiful. She made friends easily and kept them because she was always positive and encouraging to others. Clara was married to the “Love of her life”, Herbert Wooddall who preceded her in death. They were High School sweethearts that found love for each other again after previous marriages. Together they had a wonderful life and were happy and content. They were members of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Clara enjoyed gardening and cooking which meant entertaining friends at meal time. She knew how to dress well and always was stylish. But most of all she enjoyed shopping. She knew a bargain when she saw one and took advantage of it. This habit was most probably fostered during her work years at downtown Rich’s where she was employed for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert and her beloved son, Roy Lester Seabolt, from a previous marriage along with her sisters, Lillian Inez Hogue Taylor and Eleanor Vivian McWhorter Johnson.
Relatives that have proceeded her in death are her step brother Paul Vernon Fackiner, Jr. as well as beloved step daughter, Rebecca ”Becky” Wooddall Weisenburger.
Those surviving to cherish her with fond memories are step sister, Clara Martha Fackiner of Buckhead, Georgia, beloved grandson and granddaughter, Jeffrey and Brandy Seabolt of Katy, Texas and daughter-in-law, Toni Seabolt Riddle of Sugarland, Texas as well as special niece or as Clara Pearl would say “the daughter I never had”, Patricia Ann Taylor Dunn and husband Lee Dunn of The Villages, Florida. Other family members remaining to hold Clara dear in their hearts are Craig Weisenburger, Brian and Amanda Brown, Matthew Brown, Penny Garland, Holly Murray, Robin Peacock, Jay Murray, Michael and Connie Gauthier, Lois Seabolt and Betty Daniel.
The family would also like to thank Clara’s neighbors who have been true and trusted friends throughout the years.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Wellstar Cobb Medical Center and a special thanks to the I.C.U. there as well as Tranquility hospice for the care she received in her final days.
Friends may visit with her family from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, February 1st 2013 at Davis Struempf Funeral Home, located at 1975 East-West Connector Austell, Ga. 30106 where visiting services will be held.
Funeral services will be held at on Saturday, February 2nd 2013 at 2pm located within in the same Davis Struempf Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
