Christine Marie Whitney's Obituary
Christine Marie Whitney, age 89, of Mableton passed away April 30, 2017. Christine was a charter member of the Ewing Road Baptist Church and previously a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired from Arrow Shirt Company in 1980. Christine loved her family and church. She is preceded in death by husband, Ralph Whitney. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Ann Hill of Mableton and Cathy & Dan Nesbitt of Douglasville; grandchildren, Matthew & Anna Nesbitt, Joshua & Drew Nesbitt, Olivia Hill, and Amanda & Jerry Garner; great grandchildren, Lilah, Matthew Jr., Nora, Ella, and Claira Nesbitt, Ethan Hill, Alexis, Natalie, Mallory, Hunter, Madelyn Garner and Ronnie Joseph; her loving sister, Emily Woody of Mableton; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
