Charlotte Popham's Obituary
Charlotte Elvira Popham, age 67, of Kennesaw passed away February 5, 2020. Charlotte was employed at the Omni as Assistant Director of Security, where she met her husband, Jack. She was the Associate Pastor of The Mableton Church of God of Prophesy. Charlotte loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved gospel music and even recorded some music herself.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Jack “Pop” Popham. She is survived by her sons, Dwight (Dana) Carter of Palmetto and Qualin (Nikema Green) Carter, Sr. of Kennesaw; daughter, Kim (Allen) Shaw of Auburn, AL; grandchildren, Alex, Eric, Qualin, Jr., Stephen, Illyana, Gabriel, Geneva and Quentin; special sister, Melody DeFore of Atlanta; sister, Donna Castro of Whitesburg, and brothers, Joseph Boyd McGourik of Whitesburg and Phillip McGourik of Florida.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Post officiating. Interment will follow the service at Kennesaw City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to the service.
