Charles Milton Meadows' Obituary
Mr. Charles Milton Meadows, age 70 of Douglasville, passed away November 3, 2011. Charles retired from the U. S. Postal Service after 29 years as a technician. He was an artist and loved to work in oils and watercolors. He particularly liked painting lighthouses, and gave most of his paintings to friends. Charles was a member of Trinity Chapel Church of God in Powder Springs. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Baxter Meadows; sons, Robert “Greg” Meadows of Marietta, and Bryan & Tanya Meadows of Panama City Beach; grandchildren, Jeremy Meadows, Tiffany & Chris Miles, Josh Meadows, Joe Meadows, Michael Isaac Meadows, and Hannah Grace Meadows; brothers, Danny & Margaret Meadows of Acworth, Darrell & Joanne Meadows of Ballground, Ron Meadows of Kennesaw, and Dwight & Debbie Meadows of Douglasville; sister, Pat & Bill Vansant of Marietta; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 – 6 pm. Funeral services will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
