Charles "C.P." Worsham's Obituary
Mr. Charles P. Worsham, age 80 of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Tranquility Hospice of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was born January 26, 1929 to Pauline Wilkins & William Franklin Worsham. He married Marion Louise Hawkins in 1946 and they celebrated 63 years of marriage this April. Mr. Worsham resided in Austell from 1962 thru 2005 and was the founder and CEO of Worsham Grading until 1990. He was the owner/manager of several residential and commercial properties until his death. "CP" enjoyed watch making, fishing, and spinning stories. He loved his family and spent much of his day visiting and enjoying his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He took special delight in all family traditions and gatherings. He is survived by his wife, daughters & their husbands, Belinda & Dan Bryant of Dallas, Vickie & Roger Brown of Hogansville; grandchildren & their spouses, Jamie (Brown) & Jody Adair of Whitesburg, Richie & Jennifer Brown of Acworth, Zeb & Hope Brown of Douglasville; great-grandchildren, Cole Adair, Taylor Brown, Ryker Brown, Charley Adair, and Riley Brown; brother, Joe Worsham of Forest Park; lifelong devoted friends, Clyde Bailey of Douglasville, and Frank Poss of Austell & St. Petersburg, FL. He was predeceased by his son, Charles Amos "Charlie" Worsham on September 15, 1970; and his siblings, Leila Morgan, Hattie McFearin, and David Worsham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Ron Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM.
