Charles Thompson's Obituary
Mr. Charles Andrew Thompson, age 90 of Mableton, passed away on December 5, 2009. Mr. Thompson served proudly in the US Navy for 6 years during WWII. He retired from the FAA in 1974. From 1947 until his death, Mr. Thompson was an active member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Joy Thompson Callaway of Mableton; son & daughter-in-law, Charles S. "Stoney" & Judy Thompson of Conyers; grandchildren, Stephanie & Mitch Bradford of Conyers, Wesley Thompson of Milner, Wendy & Kenny McKay of Grovetown; great grandchildren, Jarrett & Davis Bradford, Andrew McKay; and sister, Hellon Hooper of Monticello. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 7th at 11:00 AM, in-state from 10 until 11 AM, at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church with Dr. Randal Whitten and Rev. Doug Couch officiating. Committal service will be in Westview Cemetery in Monticello at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at the funeral home.
