Charles Winston Smith's Obituary
Charles Winston Smith, age 81, of Austell passed away January 29, 2021. Charles was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. In his free time, Charles loved to woodwork and be outside. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed cultivating any type of flower. Charles was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Willie and Annie Evelyn Smith; brother, Billy Smith; sister, Willene Smith; and infant son, Steven Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Violet June Smith; daughter, Dana (William) Blackwell of Ballground; grandchildren, Carrie (Dustin) Murphy of Ballground and Matthew (Ashley) Blackwell of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Laurel Mae Murphy and William Lincoln Blackwell; brothers, Clarence (Rachel) Smith of Ellijay and Bob Smith of Austell; and beloved nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 31st, 2:00 PM at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens with William Blackwell and Matthew Blackwell officiating.
