Charles Wilson Hardy of Statham, GA and Clayton, GA, passed away February 8, 2020. He was born July 29, 1935 to Clarence Hardy and Sara Jane Coggins Hardy and grew up in Austell, GA. Charles graduated from South Cobb High School i Read Obituary

Lee, I am so fortunate to have become acquainted with You and Charles. Always was so nice to chat with him about his cars and the last show he had been to. And I’ll never forget the day he picked up his scrips left the building, then walked back in and jst looked at me and said “ I need to borrow your car” I said here’s the keys and he said no I’m serious I need to borrow your car I need to go to the parts store and get a battery I said like I said, here’s the keys!!! From then on we always had car stories to share. He will be greatly missed in our little town. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mr. Hardy was a great friend to the Wallace family. He spoke at my father's 80th birthday party at Manuel's Tavern in 1998. He gave a funny yet touching talk. He also did us the honor of bringing Mrs. Murray to that gathering. Mr. Hardy also spoke at Dad's life celebration six years later . The late Steve Graveley once said to me that only three people could wear a Budweiser sport jacket and not look foolish: Ed McMahon, Bill Wallace, and Charles Hardy. He was right. So many great stories have been shared with us kids over the years, of the many antics between my dad, Harry Harris and my beloved Uncle Charles. We will miss him terribly but treasure the wonderful memories he has given us and our family. Kim Harris Thomas

Charles was a special breed of man, friend and boss. He was known as “Mr. Budweiser” around all of us and a model employee. He touched so many, and will be missed. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

I heart aches for all of you. Mr. Hardy was a wonderful guy and he will surely be missed. He was always there if you ever needed help. I am so glad I got to work with him for almost 16 years. He was always smiling and enjoying life. The video is a wonderful tribute to his life. God bless you all.
He could always make me laugh or smile. My office was across the hall from his and many days we would hear him singing as he came down the hall. One of my favorites was "All My Ex's Live in Texas". He could tell a story like no one else I have ever known. He shared a lot of Atlanta Beverage history with me which I truly appreciated. I love you Charlie Hardy and will miss you my friend.
