Charles M. Garmon, age 90 of Lithia Springs passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013. He was a WWII Army Veteran, He taught school for the Federal Government in Thailand, Retired from Ryder Truck Lines..Charles was a member of Zion View Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as Choir Director and Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed working,gardening, fishing and hunting and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Vernie Garmon. He is survived by sons and daughters in law, Gary & Sheila Garmon, son, Jerry Garmon, Rickey & Donna Garmon, daughter and son-in-law, Debra Baird & Tony Walker, brother, Cecil Garmon. Grandchildren, Christina Garmon, Wesley Garmon, Jason Garmon, Ryan & Lauren Baird, Adam & Jessica Walker. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013, 11:00 AM, Davis-Struempf Chapel. Rev. Cecil Garmon officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday 2-8 pm at the funeral home. Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory, Austell.
