Charles Edward Bowers' Obituary
On Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018, Charles E. Bowers, loving son and brother passed away at the age of 54. Charles was born on May 25th, 1964 in Peoria, IL to Evelyn Bowers. After graduating high school, Charles served with the United States Marines for 12 years. After his time served with the Armed Forces, he secured a position with the United States Post Office, working as a Union Steward for over 20 years, until his passing.
Charles had a passion for working with computers and using his IT experience to fix computers for his family and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Stlyon Bowers. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Bowers; sisters, Shirley (Anayo) Akpelu, Sherry Bowers, Terri (Andre’) Kelly; brother, Michael Bowers; Aunts, Essie Brown of Peoria, IL. and Mary Francis Marks of Tennessee; 5 nephews; one niece; numerous great- nieces and great nephews along with a host of cousins.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 14th, 2018 from 4:00-7:00PM at Davis- Struempf Funeal Home. Chapel Services will be held Monday October 15th, 2018 12:00 PM at Davis- Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. A Precession will follow to Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, GA 30114.
