Charles Baxter's Obituary
Charles A. Baxter, age 70 of Powder Springs, passed away July 3, 2012. Charles retired as co-owner of Baxter Brothers Machine Shop and then was employed by Cobb County School System at Garrett Middle School. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed the time spent with his golfing buddies. Charles loved old cars and owned a 1936 Ford. But most of all, he loved all his family and friends, and they loved him. Charles is survived by his wife, Elaine Ogle Baxter; daughter & son-in-law, Rhonda & Greg Smith of Cumming; grandchildren, Justin Smith and Madison Smith; brothers, Sid Baxter of Hiram, Billy Baxter of Rydal, and Ricky Baxter of Spring Island, SC; sisters, Shirley Anderson of Carrollton and Debbie Stinchcomb of Powder Springs. Funeral service will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday from 4 - 8 PM.
