Cathy LaFaye Counts' Obituary
Cathy LaFaye Counts, age 66, of Mableton passed away September 4, 2016. She was a member of Macland Baptist Church. Cathy was preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Lancaster, Gordon Smith, and Don Smith. She is survived by her husband, Steve; son, Freddie Bates of Austell; sisters, Grace McDonough of Ashland, AL, Audrey Terry of Florida, and Lisa Tucker of Lineville, AL; and grandchildren, Alexis Bates, Chase Bates, and Landon Bates. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12:00 PM at Macland Baptist Church with Rev. Frank McLeod and Dr. Richard Walker officiating. She will Lie in State at the church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM before the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
