Carolyn Logan's Obituary
Carolyn Irene Logan was born on October 18th, 1930 and passed peacefully on June 24th, 2021.
Carolyn was a native of Atlanta but spend wonderful childhood years in New York. She graduated from Cathedral High School as Student Poet Laureate and attended Hunter College.
She moved to Kansas to be close to her sister Dorothy and met her husband Forrest, to whom she was a “model” wife.
In addition to being a wife and mother of six children she also had careers in the health and fitness industry as well as some time in real-estate. She loved movies, books, theatre and music and was a devoted patron of the Fox theatre.
She truly loved her friends and family. She delighted in hosting events and cooking and serving great crowds of loved ones. All were welcome at her home.
She loved her church, Dunwoody United Methodist Church, and when she was able, she spent many years in the UMW, choir, play productions and Stephen ministry.
She is survived by her six children: Cathy Wray, Connie Napoleon, Forrest Logan, Roger Logan, Kevin Logan and Bryan Logan, her nine grandchildren- Jake Wray, Maureen Chappelear, Becky Noda Higa, Elizabeth Tong, Forrest Logan III, Christine Vick, Davis Logan, Lisa Logan, and Leigh Ann Logan, her ten great grandchildren - Griffin Wray, Hudson Wray, Kylie Chappelear , Jacob Chappelear, Leolani Noda, Carmen Tong, Carolyn Tong, Isabel Vick, Nora Vick, and Logan Vick.
She is preceded in death by her mother Lou Ella Mattice, her father Walton Herschel Northcutt, her sister Dorothy Winegarner and her husband of 51 years Forrest Lee Logan Sr.
A service of remembrance will be held at Dunwoody United Methodist Chapel, Dunwoody, Georgia, on July 10, 2021at 2:00 pm with Dr. Phil Schroeder officiating.
