Carole Jean Stewart's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Granny, Carole Jean Brown Stewart, age 79, on April 15, 2021, from Alzheimer’s.
Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of Robert and Florence Brown. She was a graduate of South Cobb High School. She retired from Lockheed-Martin in 2008. Carole was a devout Christian and spent many years teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir at Clarkdale Baptist Church. She was the epitome of grace, kindness, and love. She was a beautiful woman and her presence will be forever missed. She is now in her heavenly home.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Stacy Perkinson, granddaughters, Shelby Baden, Ashley DiMaggio, and Morgan Perkinson, and her sisters, Sue Landers and Joyce Plunket.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 18th, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Pastor Billy Hooper officiating. Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM before the service.
Flowers are accepted, however, in lieu of flowers, donations in Carole's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at https://www.alz.org/.
Anyone wishing to view the service virtually may do so via a livestream video that will appear on Carole’s tribute page during the listed service time.
In keeping with current precautions due to COVID-19, we are requesting that anyone visiting wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
