Allan & I became church friends with Carole & C.W. at Leland Methodist in the 1980’s. We also made trips together with the CobbTravel Club. In 2007 a trip was suddenly cancelled and we were very disappointed. C.W. (being known as a great driver) and Carole asked us to travel with them and we would follow the planned itinerary provided by Southeastern Stages. It was a two week trip to Nova Scotia, Cabot Trail, Prince Edward Island, Niagara Falls. Every day was a new adventure! We left on Sept. 15 and arrived home on Sept. 29 which was Allan’s 80th birthday. Today he is 97 and we are homebound since his fall 2 years ago resulted in a broken leg. We have precious memories of our friendship with Carole and C.W..
Wishing you God’s peace.

Love the Driskell family so much. They're family, not just like family, but Family to my family (the Standridge's). I had a special love for all the "Driskell boys," as my mother always called them. They and their parents were an integral part of my family when I was growing up. When I was little I called him "Dubby-Dubby" because I couldn't say C. W. So saddened to see the last of them go, but he's in a much better place now. I'm thankful for all the fond memories of C. W. and the Driskell family. Words can't convey the love I have for them.
