Byron T. Ray's Obituary
Byron T. Ray, 74, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away on August 17, 2025. He was born on August 15, 1951, to the late Lourene Duncan Ray and John Thomas Ray.
Mr. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, where he was assigned to the USS Belknap.
He had a lifelong love of the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was also an avid reader and writer, known for his intelligence and curiosity. In his later years, he devoted himself to caring for his mother with great love and dedication.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia A. Wright, and his brother, John W. Ray.
A private family service will be held, and Mr. Ray will be laid to rest at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
