Byron Abraham "Pow Pow" Bobb's Obituary
Byron Abraham "Pow Pow" Bobb, age 73 of Austell passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He retired as a Welder in HAVAC Manufacturing, was a member of Church of Christ and he loved Jazz music. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Haleigh LaFayette. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Hills Bobb; 7 children, Elson Bobb of Tobago, Moreen Bob-Guy of Tobago, Leiba Bobb-Mitchell of New York, Susan LaRose of New York, Michelle & Trexlar Ratliff of Powder Springs, Brandon Bobb of Austell and Daniel Bobb of Austell; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Oliver Bobb of Tobago, Charles Bobb of New York, Desil Bobb of Tobago and Allan Bobb of Tobago; sister, Euna Jacob of Tobago. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastors Wesley Brown and Tommy Tidwell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18th from 12:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia.
