Buena Faye Campbell McClary's Obituary
Faye Campbell McClary passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at the age of 100.
She was born Buena Faye Holland in Martin, GA and was a graduate of North GA college with a degree in Home Economics.
She worked in Richmond, VA for the Singer Sewing Machine Company as the Educational Director for the South Eastern United States. She was transferred to Wilmington, DE in 1952. After marrying Ronald Campbell in 1954, the new Mrs. Campbell became active in garden clubs, bridge clubs, the local nature center, and the Mary Kay cosmetics company.
In 1999 the Campbells moved to the Presbyterian Village retirement community in Austell, GA. Here, Faye became a master gardener and took classes in landscape architecture. She played an active part in the landscape committee and enjoyed beautifying the campus with plantings of trees, shrubs, and flowers.
After the death of her husband Ron in 2009, Faye eventually married Mr. Lee McClary in 2017, ages 91 and 93, respectively. They enjoyed 8 happy years together until Lee’s death in 2024.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna Faye O’Rourke of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, David O’Rourke, Brian O’Rourke, and Kate O’Rourke-Greico (Chris); son, Bruce Campbell (Ann Steinmetz); and one sister, Grace Crowe of Madison, GA.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Presbyterian Village in Austell, GA on June 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow.
