Brittany Nicole Davis Hazelwood's Obituary
Brittany Nicole Davis Hazelwood, age 33, of Dallas passed away February 17, 2021. Brittany was one of the most kind and gentle people you could ever meet. She had an inner light and sweet spirit that she’s had since she was very young. Brittany loved to help, and was especially fond of helping and spending time with the elderly. Brittany’s laughter lit up the room and she loved to joke around with family and friends.
Her family loved her and she loved her family. Brittany always looked forward to family get-togethers. She was her daughter, Brooke’s, best friend and they cherished their talks and night-time drives together. Brittany was also a fiercely loyal friend who was always in your corner.
Brittany was truly a renaissance woman. She loved music (especially country, pop, and old-time rock n’ roll), art, and poetry.
She had a creative spirit and a talent for figuring things out, and was exceptionally good at discerning what was wrong with a car. In her free time, she loved to visit the mountains and the beach and be surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Brittany was a beautiful, caring person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Angela Uyvonne Davis; maternal grandparents, William Leslie and Marlene Jones; and paternal grandparents, Evie and Al Ray Davis. Brittany is survived by her father, Danny Davis of Dallas; children, Brooke Chastain, Keira Hazelwood, and Toby Hazelwood; cousin who was like a brother to her, Matthew Boyd; cousins, Tanya Denault, Nick Davis, Jeremy Davis, Adam, Megan and Will Davis; Troy Jones; aunt and uncle, Vickie and Bob Morrison; uncle and aunt, Joe and Debbie Jones; and uncles, Tom Davis and Jim Davis; as well as a host of beloved extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 23, 1:00 PM at Mountain View Memorial Park with Pastor Leonard Chambers officiating.
Anyone wishing to view the service virtually may do so via a livestream video that will appear on Brittany’s tribute page during the listed service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Brittany's name to Egleston Children's Hospital, https://www.choa.org/locations/egleston-hospital.
