Brenda Pilcher's Obituary
Brenda Faye Long Pilcher, 65, of Gainesville went home to be with her Savior and Lord Sunday, January, 27, 2013. Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of Willie Strickland Long, and the late Rev. Hubert Long, Jr. She is also survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ben Picher; daughters, Angie (Rob) Smith of Cumming, and Heather (Chris) Wainscott of Pinellas Park Florida; and 6 grandchildren, Briana, RJ, and Trenton Smith, Steven, Kayla and Josh Wainscott all of whom loved their Nanny very much. She had 3 sisters, Linda Stanfield of St. Simons Island, Sherry (Otha) Chapman of Powder Springs, and Donna (Jimmy) Deaton of Douglasville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a multitude of cousins. Brenda loved her Lord, loved her family and liked nothing more than a family reunion that included everybody being together, laughing, eating and of course, there had to be some singing. Now, Brenda is singing with the angels.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1st, at 2:00 PM in Davis-Struempf Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held before the service from 12:00 noon until 2:00.
