Bonnie Wade's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Y. Wade, known to her many friends as Bonnie, age 75 of Marietta, Georgia, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, with her husband and family by her side. Bonnie fought a courageous battle with cancer for six years. She and her husband, Donavan E. Wade, are charter members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, where a memorial mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 20, 2012 with Rev. Eugene Barrett, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Bonnie was a homemaker who loved her family. She could be found at the fitness center several days a week working out with her friends. Bonnie loved modeling and graced many runways in the Atlanta area, being often called for modeling assignments. She possessed a green thumb and could make anything grow as evidenced by the beautiful flower gardens surrounding her home. Bonnie was born in 1937 in Marietta, Georgia, one of seven children born to William C. Brown and Lena Brown. Surviving her are her husband of 55 years, Donavan E. Wade; sons, Michael E. Wade of Powder Springs, Georgia, Christopher A. Wade of Dallas, Georgia; daughter, Janice E. Morris of Gulf Shores, Alabama; grandson, Donivan B. Pittman of Marietta, Georgia; granddaughters, Melissa Chandler of Daphne, Alabama, and Halle Wade of Dallas, Georgia; great-grandsons, Michael Chandler and Samuel Chandler of Daphne, Alabama; and her sister, Dorothy Carson of Kennesaw, Georgia; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her brothers, E.T. Brown, William C. Brown, Jr., Bobby Brown; sisters, Mildred Jarrett and Hattie Lee Wigley. Arrangements are with Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory in Austell, Georgia.
