Bonnie Nabers' Obituary
Bonnie Nabers, age 76, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, formerly of Austell, passed away June 15, 2016. Bonnie graduated from South Cobb High School in 1957 and later earned a law degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law. Early in her career, Bonnie worked at a law firm and was a member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries and an officer of the Georgia Association of Legal Secretaries. She was a stenographer for the Cobb County Superior Court as well as the Federal Court of Appeals in Fulton County. She completed her career with Lockheed Martin Corporation. Bonnie also held a Real Estate Brokers license. She was a member of Orange Hill Baptist Church, and a devout animal lover. Bonnie is survived by her husband, James H. Nabers; two sons, Kenneth Barron of Texas, Rodney (Sherry) Barron of Cumming; two stepsons, Randy Nabers, Stanley Nabers; sister Josephine (Cliff) Voyles; grandchildren, Shannon (Jason) Leatherwood, Matt Nabers, Madison Barron, Davis Barron, Mackenzie Barron, Austin Barron, Jack Barron; great grandchildren, Melanie Leatherwood, Trent Leatherwood, and Finning Young; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18th at 2:00pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or Bonnie would have encouraged you may make a donation in lieu of flowers to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
