Bobby Bracewell's Obituary
Bracewell, Bobby Bracewell left this world peacefully on October 29, 2010. He entered eternal peace to join his parents, Melvin Hubert Bracewell, Sr. and Ethel Dunnavant Bracewell, his infant sister, Lilian Grace, and his beloved wife of 60 years, Sara Brock Bracewell. For now, he leaves those whom he loved so deeply and so well: his children, Michael Bracewell and Janice Bracewell Fuller; his children by marriage, Ruth Barrow Bracewell and Ronald Fuller; his brothers, Hubert and Dan Bracewell; his sisters, Kate Godwin, Pauline McFatter, Esther Woodham, and Ruth Clance. He also leaves those for whom he became and always will be Grandaddy: his grandchildren, Lori, Britt, and Bobby Fuller; his grandchild by marriage, Nydia Garcia Fuller; and his great-grandchildren, Carina, Mariana, Oran, Analise, and Brock Fuller. God has more than blessed each one to have had Bob as our father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob was born in Dale County, Alabama on September 25, 1922, and lived much of his adult life in Mableton, Georgia. Bob picked cotton, plowed fields, served his country in WWII, had long careers at Skil Corporation and General Motors, and could fix or rig just about anything. This sweet, gentle man took care of his younger siblings at home, his fellow soldiers at Lawson General Hospital, his children and family, and many relatives and friends in need, most especially his beloved Sara. Love is patient, and love is kind. He was both, and he will be missed. Without exception, everyone who knew him recognized what a truly special, gentle, good, and loving man he was. He was a blessing to all. The family is grateful for the availability of RFD TV, which provided many hours of pleasure over recent years. More recently, the family is grateful for the skilled experience of Wellstar Hospice, which brought comfort over recent weeks.
