Blanche JoAnn West's Obituary
Blanche JoAnn West entered Heavens gates on June 28, 2024 at the age of 84. In her final moments, she was surrounded by loved ones. JoAnn was vocal in saying, “I am so loved” in those last days. She truly loved and appreciated her family. She has a son and a daughter who never questioned their mother’s love. She has a family that she absolutely adored…especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her last few years were spent in the comfort of her daughter and son-in-law’s home and being surrounded by love. Family time brought her so much joy. She was always up for a fun time and was sure to let out a laugh that was contagious! She would laugh with her head thrown back and hands up. Her laugh could lighten any moment. Better known as “JoAnn” and “Granny” to those that loved her, her light was a staple in her families’ lives.
Her deepest desire was a homecoming with our Heavenly Father. She also looked forward to the joyous reunion with her husband, Joe, whom she lost 4 years prior. Her earthly life was a testament to perseverance. Her entire life was fraught with daily pain, medical obstacles, and physical hardship. But she was always one to make the best of any situation and would not allow physical trials to keep her from living a fulfilled life. She had an unwavering faith in the power of the Lord. If you believe, anything is possible. She knew that showing the smallest amount of faith could alter your life.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Andrew West.
She is survived by her son, Joseph West (wife, Debbie), and daughter, Sherri Tolbert (husband, Al). Her heritage is also left behind in her grandchildren, Jenna Roberts (husband, David), Evan Tolbert, Janet Webb (husband, Chris), and Alayna Morgan (husband, Taylor); great grandchildren, Temperance, Presleigh, Tristan, Story, and Goldie; and many extended family and friends that cherish her memory.
