Bill "Big Bill" Boyd's Obituary
Bill "Big Bill" Boyd, age 78 of Powder Springs passed away Monday, December 2, 2013. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mableton, retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army and then retired from General Motors, Lakewood Plant after 32 years. Bill loved fishing, camping and eating. He was also a member of Powder Springs Masonic Lodge. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Alan & Jeannie Boyd of Panama City Beach, FL; Mark & Lynn Boyd of Panama City Beach, FL; grandchildren, Kimberlee Hathcock, Timothy Ledford and Casey Ledford; great granddaughter, Ava Hathcock; sister, Mary Blankenship of Powder Springs. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM, Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Childers and Rev. Calvin Brownlow officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
