Beverly Kaye Sears' Obituary
Beverly Kaye Sears, age 68, of Mableton passed away June 29, 2020. Beverly was a member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs for 27 years and was actively involved in the church orchestra playing the violin, leading children’s choir, and various volunteer opportunities through the church. She was a very crafty lady who enjoyed crocheting, DIY-ing her (and her children’s!) houses, and sewing. Beverly was an accomplished pianist who lent her talents to many performances and accompanist positions. She and her husband, Ron, are self-described “Disney fanatics” who never missed an opportunity to take their children and grandchildren to Disney World. Beverly also loved the beach, especially the Ft. Walton area.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, George and Jesse Wilson; and siblings, Marie Scoggins and Martha Primm. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald Sears of Mableton; children, Alan (Monna) Sears of Marietta, Adam (Stephanie) Sears of Austell, Anthony (Reiko) Sears of Smyrna, and Amanda (Owen) Igo of Evans; sister, Carolyn Allen; brother, Buddy Wilson; and grandchildren, Hayden, Kieran, Cole, Kameron, Jackson, Benjamin, Annabelle, Abigail, Emma, Jonathan, and Elias.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs with Rev. Mike Woods and Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, and from 11:00 to 1:00 PM on Thursday at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs.
