Betty Sue Wynn's Obituary
Betty Sue Wynn, age 87, of Powder Springs, GA, died Sunday November 23, 2025.
She was born in Nantahala, North Carolina to Homer and Emmodene Southard (nee’ Lee). She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was known lovingly as Mom, Grandmother and Memawses. She was a courageous cancer survivor and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Her favorite hobbies included reading romance novels, bass fishing and scrolling through pictures of her grands and great grands.
Betty had a successful career with Printpack, Inc. and Cadillac Products Packaging Company spanning more than fifty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Geraldine Hardin and Joanna Roberts.
Betty is survived by her husband, Tommy Wynn; sons, Alan Roper (Rachel) and Farren Roper (Laurie); stepson, Jeffrey Wynn (Tina); grandchildren, Kelly Blair (Cameron), Kyle Roper (Lindsay), Matthew Roper, Michael Roper, and Leah Moore (Matt); step grandson, Austin Wynn; great-grand children, Lacy Blair, Tucker Blair, Eli Roper, Ansley Roper, Aiden Roper, Anna Grace Roper, Ali Kate Roper, Collier Roper, Bennett Roper, Brady Roper, Bradley Roper, Cash Roper, Colley Roper, Caleb Moore, and Myka Moore; nieces, Darla Holt and Paula Avery; and extended family.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A graveside service celebrating Betty’s life will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00PM at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta, GA, with Dr. Farren Roper and Rev. Alan Roper officiating.
