Betty Jean Posey's Obituary
Betty Jean Posey, age 84, of Marietta passed away November 9, 2016. Betty was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. She was award the 50 Year Certificate for Meals on Wheels and was very active in the Cobb County community where she lived for over 50 years. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin B. Posey; parents, Dewey & Annie Mae Posey; and brother, Curtis McAdams. She is survived by her children, Sherri Cloud, Perry Posey, and Scott Posey; grandchildren, Kara Christian, Kandace Walker Bunda, Amanda Posey, Klay Walker, and Mindy Hizer; six great grandchildren; and her siblings, Chalmus McAdams, Anne Griggs, Billy McAdams, Joyce Carroll, and Jimmy McAdams. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, November 13, 2:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy McAdams officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
