Betty Jean Brown's Obituary
Betty Jean Cantrell Brown, age 86, of Austell, passed away September 4, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hubert Brown, her parents, Ralph and Nettie Lou Cantrell, her stepmother, Lola May Cantrell, and her sister Sue Clayton.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane (John) Lattin of Austell, Deborah Arango of Clarkdale, her son, Steve (Rhonda) Brown of Kennesaw, her sister, Helen (Joe) Lawrence of Tampa, her close cousin Brenda (Glen) Ragsdale of Dallas, Georgia, and her three granddaughters, Amy Smith of Douglasville, Trisha (Jimmy) Bradley of Stockbridge, and Leslie Arango of Clarkdale. She had three great grandchildren.
Betty’s biggest joy in life was her family. She loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she enjoyed spending time with her sister who came to Georgia several times a year to visit.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 6th from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home on East-West Connector in Austell, Georgia. A graveside service will be held Saturday September 7, at 3:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery in Douglasville, Georgia. Rev. Richard Wilkins will be officiating. The family will also receive friends Saturday from 2:00-2:30 PM before taking a procession to the cemetery.
