Betty N. Beck's Obituary
Betty N. Beck, age 87, of Kennesaw, formerly of Smyrna, passed away October 23, 2023. Betty was born in Atlanta to Ernest Frank Nichols and Mattie Nichols (née Booker), and grew up in the Atlanta area, graduating from West Fulton High School. Early in Betty’s career, she worked in banking, but her most recent job was as a bookkeeper at Cryolife
In earlier years, Betty enjoyed bowling, shopping, and looking for a good bargain. She was an incredibly generous person and she never saw her nieces and nephews without bringing them something special. She was quiet, kind, and exceptionally sweet. There was not a mean bone in her body. Betty will be greatly missed by all who got to know and love her.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Leon Beck; and siblings, Everett Nichols, Gene Nichols, Barbara Deborde, and Joyce Manning. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Beck (wife, Heather) of Cornelius, NC; sister, Nancy Johnson of Mableton; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26th, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow the service at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
