Becky Mitchell Allison's Obituary
Becky Mitchell Allison, age 75 of Powder Springs, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026.
Becky graduated from O’Keefe High School in 1968 and married her beloved husband, Russell, that November. They spent 56 wonderful years together before his passing in 2024.
She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved her family more than anything. She also had a special bond with her beloved boxer dog, Jake, who has since passed away.
Becky enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including crocheting baby blankets, reading, and square dancing. Some of her favorite pastimes were spent vacationing on the beach. She was a devoted member of Hiram First Baptist church.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Russell “Buddy” Allison; mother, Doris Mitchell; and sister, Cindy Reighard.
She is survived by her children, Rusty (Michele) Allison and Julie (Scott) Anderton; father, Henry Mitchell; grandchildren, Brittani (Bobby), Madison (Gage), Makayla (Caleb), Ashley (Matthew), Will, and Allie; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Robbie, Cindy, and Ginny; uncle, Roger Cowart; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 18th from 11:00 – 12:00 PM before the service.
A funeral service honoring Becky’s life will be held on Saturday, July 18th 12:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Dr. Ike Reighard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Riverview Memorial Park.
