Barnette Brown Richardson's Obituary
Barnette Brown Richardson, age 92 of Austell passed away December 5, 2022.
Barnette retired from the Cobb County School district after 21 years in the lunchroom. She enjoyed interacting with all the children and loved them dearly.
She was a member of Clarkdale Baptist Church and enjoyed attending their gospel singings.
Barnette enjoyed cooking and was a loving caregiver to friends, family, and animals.
She was an avid gardener, loved listening to music by Elvis, and enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes.
Barnette was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years W.C. Richardson; son, Steve Richardson; sister, Hazel West; brothers, Leon Brown, Carter Brown, Cleveland Brown, Clifford Brown, Thurston Brown, and Carol Brown.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Bo Huling of Douglasville; daughter-in-law, Judy Richardson of Powder Springs; granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Lou Remillard of Las Vegas; grandson, Blane Huling and wife Montana of Johns Creek; great-grandson Noah Remillard of Las Vegas, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Agan officiating. Interment will follow at Barber Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday prior to the service from 11:00AM-1:00PM at the funeral home.
