Barbara Nell Gowens' Obituary
Barbara Nell Gowens, age 83 of Austell passed away June 11, 2021.
Barbara was a devoted Christian and longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She graduated from Rockmart High School and retired from Kroger.
Barbara’s life-long calling was being a caretaker for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ross Gowens; daughters and sons in law, Donna and Ken Cooper, Pamela and Scott Sanders, Cynthia and Jay Jones, Kimberly and Tad Richison; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 11:00AM-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
