Barbara Ann Brown's Obituary
Barbara Ann Brown, age 84, of Austell passed away September 13th, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was a former member of Mableton First Baptist Church.
Barbara was a very caring person, which was demonstrated by her volunteer work as a Pink Lady at Cobb Hospital and her love of working with children as a substitute teacher. In her later years, she thoroughly enjoyed working at the Mableton K-Mart.
Barbara’s free time was spent doing crossword puzzles, listening to country/western/gospel music, and catching up on her soap operas. But the jewel of her life was her family. Nothing delighted her more than spending time with her children and grandchildren, and holidays were always a special time for their family. Her family will always cherish the memories of Halloween weenie roasts and the wonderful chaos of opening presents at Christmas.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Ansel and Effie Naomi Crutchfield; husband, Herbert Lamar Brown; children, Debbie Cantrell, Jesse Brown, and Christi Vann; sister, Edna Grogan; and great-grandchild, Clay “Junior” Brown.
She is survived by her children, Beth (husband, Eddie) Lovejoy of Rockmart, Tammy Esparza of Austell, and Perry Brown of Ellijay; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many beloved extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17th, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Davis Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
For anyone wishing to view the service virtually, a livestream will occur during the above-listed service on Mrs. Brown’s Tribute Page at www.davisstruempf.com
