I couldn't speak at your funeral. I'm bad at public speaking and so many other people also spoke. But I wanted to share this.
The world will never know you like I did. Like we did.
For that, I am both grateful to have been so lucky to know you.
But I am also sad for the people who never got to be graced by your presence.
The people who never got to hear your laugh or voice.
The people who never got to know you.
I am forever lucky to have had those privileges. We are forever lucky to have been given that privilege.
To have been able to make those memories with you.
To hear you talk and laugh.
To be your family.
To be graced by your presence for those all those years.
Avery you changed lives. You helped so many people. I love you. We won't ever forget you. You were someone truly unforgettable. I hope we are able to honor your name in the way you would've wanted.
We love you Avery.
Rest in peace.
