Audrey McCants' Obituary
Audrey Elaine McCants was born August 18th, 1956 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina to Arthur and Naomi McCants. At an early age, her family relocated to Brooklyn, New York. Audrey attended Elementary school at P.S 75 and Junior High at Halsey Junior High 296. She graduated from Franklin K. Lane a year after having her first child.
She built her career in the banking industry where she met some long-term friends and her best friend Carolyn Dukes. In 1999, she became a grandmother to Ashley and Autumn. A year later, she was given the opportunity to move to another state and she chose Georgia where she resided for over 20 years.
While in Georgia, Audrey began to rebuild her faith in God by finding a church home at Holy Light. She served under the leadership of Chief Apostle Michael Hope Sr. and then Pastor Barbara Hope. She was a dedicated and faithful church member. She became one of the Mothers of the church. She assisted with the youth in the building of their foundation in God.
After years of hard work, in 2017 she achieved her dream and finished college with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems.
Audrey leaves surviving, her mother Naomi McCants, her brother Frank McCants (Beverly) and sister Barbara McCants, her 3 daughters, Twana McCants, Gwendolyn Guity, and Kedra Williams, 3 granddaughters Ashley Love, Autumn Powell, Khayla Gregg, 2 grandsons, Jordan Gregg and Jeremiah Cannon and a host of family and friends.
