Arvis Edward Shead's Obituary
Arvis Edward Shead, age 87 of Austell passed away August 4, 2020. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and retired as owner/operator of a Barber Shop in Austell. Arvis was a Navy veteran who served during the Korean War, and he was very proud of his service to his country.
Arvis was preceded in death by his son, Eddy Shead and his wife of 60 years, JoAnn Shead.
He is survived by his nieces, Sandra Gilbert of Powder Springs and Patsy Hallford of Dallas. Arvis is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30- 2:00 PM prior to the service.
