Arvil "A.E." Ely Justus Jr.'s Obituary
Arvil “A.E” Ely Justus, Jr., age 88 of Douglasville passed away October 30, 2025.
A.E. was a man of strong faith and was a devoted member and deacon of Ebenezer Baptist Church for almost 30 years. He recently became a member of Mountain View Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon. A.E. spent 30+ years of his life working as a meat packer for Wilson Packing Company.
A.E. was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A.E. was preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Lassie Justus; brothers, T.J. and Roscoe Justus; and sister, Virginia Terry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Ann Justus; children, Wendy Proctor, Eliesha Craig, and Mark Justus; grandchildren, Justin, Amanda, and Pamela; and great-grandchildren, Finleigh, Lexi, Lily, and Little A.E.
A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Monday, November 3rd 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Arthur Justus officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 11 AM – 1 PM.
Interment will follow the service at Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Flowers are accepted, or in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks donations to be made in A.E.’s honor to Mountain View Baptist Church in Paulding County.
