Anthony K. Jones' Obituary
Anthony Keith Jones, age 28, passed from this life May 20, 2023. Anthony was born in Marietta, GA and graduated from Osborne High School, having also attended Campbell High School for a time. He was employed full time with the City of Smyrna Sanitation Department and worked part-time at Washworks car wash. Anthony was passionate about music and was a devoted brother and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Dorothy Mae Cantey, James Cantey, Bernice Pompey, and Samuel Lee Pompey; and uncle, Anthony Keith Pompey.
He is survived by his loving parents, Joel K. Jones of Marietta and Monica M. Jones of Austell; grandparents, Rosa Cantey and Leroy Cantey, Sr.; siblings, Nyiesha Jones Woods (husband, Terry) of Dallas, Rushawn Jones of Marietta, and Nyaisia Jones of Austell; half-siblings, Kavon Jones of Marietta, Ayanna Jones of Marietta, and Kayan Jones of Marietta; uncles, Cedric Cantey and Leroy Cantey, Jr.; aunt, Sheronda Cantey; niece, Aubrielle Jones; nephew, Chase Woods; and many beloved cousins, extended family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3rd, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Mableton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM before the service.
