Anne Thomason's Obituary
Mrs. Anne Pettway Thomason, age 89, of Douglasville (formerly of Mableton) passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Ann was a member of Fortified Hills Baptist Church for over 78 years and retired after 48 years with A & P Tea Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Lillie Mae Pettaway and her husband Guy Thomason. Survivors include daughters, Barbara (James) Speer of Douglasville, Lynn (Charles) Wetherington of Mableton, 5 grandchildren: Andy Speer, Sandy Speer Archey, Lisa Speer Higdon, Kelly Wetherington, & Wayne Wetherington, 7 great grand children, Brothers, Steve Pettway of Dallas & Bill Pettway of St. Mountain, and sister, Ruby Hall Smyrna.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 2-4 PM with Funeral Services at 4:00 PM at the Davis-Struempf Chapel with Dr. Lee Mabry and Dr. Dewey Davidson officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fortified Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 4705 East Paulding Drive, Dallas, GA 30157.
