Anne Cooper Johnston's Obituary
Anne Cooper Johnston, 81, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Anne was raised in Leesburg, Florida. After college, she began her career with Delta Air Lines in the Tampa office. She later transferred to Atlanta, where she worked in several departments before moving into In-Flight service. Anne retired in 2002 after 30 years with Delta, a career she took great pride in and where she built many lasting friendships.
Anne was loved by all who knew her. She had a broad, welcoming smile and a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and found joy in giving back to others. Anne loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed playing golf and tennis - activities that reflected her active spirit and love of life.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike Johnston, and her sister, Darla Greer, of Pendleton, South Carolina. And many nieces and nephews that she loved so much. She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Cooper, her mother, Myrtle Cooper Roesel, and her sister, Kathy Bolton.
Anne will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the genuine way she cared for those around her. Her presence brought comfort and joy to many, and she will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the coming months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Spotlight Foundation or Aloha to Aging.
