Anna Lore Laxton's Obituary
Anna Lore Laxton, 81, entered Heaven’s gates on January 15, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia. She passed peacefully surrounded by her closest loved ones. Anna was a vivacious and spirited soul who loved her family, animals, and a sunny day on the beach. She brought life and color to everything and everyone she encountered.
Born in Bamberg, Germany, Anna moved to the United States at the age of 24 when she met her soldier in the army, from North Carolina. She had a very successful career as a master tailor, making beautiful designs for many of North Carolina and Georgia’s elite. Her creativity could be seen in everything she did from her designer suits , beautiful floral arrangements or custom seashell mirrors. She never met a stranger and believed life should always be a celebration. Anna was always dressed to impress. You would never catch her without her bright blonde hair perfectly fixed, her own bright custom designs, and high heels. The only time her heels came off was to walk her beloved dogs Corky and Coco Chanel on the beach. She always had a lemon drop candy in her purse to spare. She had a passion for animals and would feed every creature that came to her door, whether that be a dog, a cat, deer, or raccoons. It was not unusual to see a deer eating directly out of her hands on the front porch, and she was often mistaken for the real-life Snow White. Anna also loved to cook and could not have anyone leaving her house hungry, and every meal she made was nothing short of gourmet.
Anna was preceded in death by her mother Rebekkah Sasse Schneider, father Christoff Schenider, and husband Conrad Laxton.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Welch of Springfield Tennessee, granddaughter Nicole Perry and her husband Justin Perry of Mableton , GA , grandson Christian Welch of Springfield TN , nephew Andy Thode of Trennewurth , Germany and two sisters in Hamburg Germany, Hilde Schneider and Gertrude Geyer.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that in Anna’s honor donations be made to the American Stroke
Association @www.stroke.org . This donation provides breakthrough research and advocacy for families
affected by a stroke.
