Ann Gillis Mattox's Obituary
Ann Haselden Mattox, age 91, mother of five, died peacefully surrounded by her daughters at her home in Atlanta, GA on Friday, January,15 2016. Ann was born in Cambridge, MA. She spent much of her adult life in Gastonia, NC and her later years in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by five children: Susan Fencer of Cape Cod, MA., Anne Giarla of Hilton Head, SC., Peter Haselden of Morganton, NC., Heidi McDaniel and Nancy Haselden of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph P. Gillis of Northborough, MA., and ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Ben McDaniel and brother Charles Vincent Gillis.
Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30a.m. Saturday April 9, 2016 at Saint Thomas The Apostle Church, Smyrna. Ms. Mattox will be interred at the Monestary of The Holy Spirit in Conyers,GA. Arrangements are with Davis- Struempf Funeral Home, Austell.
