Ann Snipes Frey's Obituary
Ann Snipes Frey, age 91 of Austell passed away February 11, 2026.
Ann was born to Nunnally and Opal Snipes in Griffin, Georgia. She was a former member of Austell First Baptist Church and most recently was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Austell.
Ann enjoyed the small things in life such as sitting on her porch and waving to those passing by. She loved to spend time outside working out in her yard, feeding and watching the birds. She nurtured all of those around her, always cooking for her family and friends. Known as the “Deviled Egg Queen”, she was frequently called to make her delicious deviled eggs for many different occasions. Ann also loved listening to music and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
Her greatest joy in life was her precious children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Frey.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Vicki) Frey, Terri Frey, and Emily (Doyle) McTyre; grandchildren, Courteney (Michael) Dutton and Anthony McTyre; and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Maci, Remi, and Ellie.
A funeral service honoring Ann’s life will be held on Friday, February 13th, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Johnny Foster officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends before the service from 9-11 AM.
